Quite often budget meat is offered to consumers because it consists of mostly store cattle that has been acquired at a cheaper price per kilogram at the sale yards.  These cattle often lack breeding quality, they are often in poor condition and have had no control over the way they have been handled.

The reason we sell MSA accredited meat is because of the STRICT on farm management systems that are in place which contribute to the predictable eating quality of the meat you purchase through us.

Abattoirs are also licenced and assessed according to their ability to meet MSA requirements.  Licenced abattoirs have MSA graders who assess the carcases based on a wide range of predetermined criteria.  

The carcases are given a grade score which is a measure of the predicted outcome of consumer satisfaction.  We use this same measure to select our meat which, we provide to you.
